Start a dive
Open the homepage for the current Daily Dive, then select Begin Descent. The label below the button shows the daily puzzle number and date. To play a different challenge, select New Game in the header. That creates an unlimited game with its own game ID in the address bar.
A complete dive has seven prompts. Every prompt asks for one answer from a category, such as a fruit, artist, university, country, character, or sport.
Play each round
- Read the prompt during the short preview.
- When the input appears, type one answer. You have 25 seconds.
- Press Enter or select Dive to submit.
- If the answer is not recognized, the clock keeps running and you can try another.
- After a valid answer, review its rarity and points, then descend to the next prompt.
You may skip a prompt. A skipped round or expired timer earns zero points, but the rest of the dive remains playable.
How scoring works
Every accepted answer belongs to a fixed rarity tier. Rarer answers earn more points, and every point moves the dive 10 metres deeper.

The tiers come from the game data. They do not change during a game and are not recalculated from live player submissions.
Finish, replay, or share
After round seven, the results screen shows every answer, the points earned, total score, and final depth. Choose Play Again to replay the same daily puzzle, or New Game for another unlimited dive.
An unlimited game URL keeps its game ID. Copy that address or use the share control to invite someone to the same set of prompts.
Quick rules
- One accepted answer counts for each prompt.
- Spelling variants and common aliases may be recognized when they are unambiguous.
- Incorrect attempts do not end the round while time remains.
- A skip or timeout scores zero for that prompt.
- Daily games can be replayed from the archive as often as you like.
- No account or purchase is required.
